I use only 3D mesh objects, not dynamic hair ( i.e. hair grown from the vertex of the figure's scalp), and I do not paint on hair post-production. In the 4 years since I have been involved with my 3D Genjyo Sanzou creation hobby, I have not found any hairstyle which is exactly like the one Minekura-sensei draws.
